Common Pinterest questions
Should I paste a Pin, pin.it link, or Pinterest board?
Use a specific Pin link, including pin.it shares and links on regional Pinterest domains. You can also paste a public profile URL here and select a Pin to resolve if a list appears; the list may be incomplete or unavailable. Boards are not a bulk download option: open one Pin and paste its link.
Why does my Pinterest result contain an image instead of a video?
Image Pins and video Pins contain different media. Check the returned item type before saving it: a video cover is only a preview image, not the video itself. If no video is returned, its cover does not provide a video download.
How do I save the cover image?
After a successful result, open the cover if one is provided and save it from the new tab. A cover is not available for every link, and the returned image is not guaranteed to be the largest original.
Why can I open a result but not save it directly?
An available safe direct link can open in your browser, but formats needing special headers, a server download, HLS, or DASH may not save as one file. If a media link has expired, resolve the original page again for a fresh result.
